Dear Parishioners,

     I am happy to announce that Liz Villa was recently hired as the new parish receptionist.  She will begin her new role in the parish office on February 24.

     Liz is a proud veteran and active-duty military spouse to her husband of 12 years, TJ Villa.  A year and a half ago, they relocated their family to New Orleans from San Diego, California.  TJ and Liz are the parents of two daughters, Savannah and Lilliana, who are currently enrolled at St. Catherine School. Liz comes to SCS with over 15 years of experience in administration.  Her involvement in various volunteer roles has complemented her professional background.  She is currently Community Partnership Chair within the school Co-op. This past fall, Liz participated in an ACTS retreat, which renewed her sense of purpose and deepened her gratitude for the Lord.
   
     Liz said, “I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to join the team at St. Catherine and look forward to contributing to the support and enrichment of our parishioners.”  Please welcome Liz when you see her in the parish office!  

     I am grateful to Kristine Cerniglia for serving as our receptionist for the last two and half years.  She is not leaving SCS, but shifting to a new role in the parish office: Communication Director & Ministry Support.  Kristine will continue her work with all parish communications (bulletins, websites, social media, parish emails, etc.) and technology (online registrations, online giving, etc).  As the parish and our ministries continue to grow, she will also serve as support staff for our many ministries whenever they need assistance.  

     If you have any questions about these new positions, please let me know.  Our parish staff is here to serve you.  As a parish community, we are focused on Encountering Jesus, Igniting Hearts, and Transforming the World.
