Archbishop Aymond appointed Fr. Andrew Gutierrez to serve at St. Catherine of Siena Parish as parochial vicar in 2019 for his first priestly assignment. Fr. Andrew is 27 years old and was born and raised in Metairie. He attended elementary school at his home parish of St. Clement of Rome. During his time at Archbishop Rummel High School, Fr. Andrew experienced a conversion and grew stronger in his faith. Fr. Andrew first started hearing the call to the priesthood as a student at ARHS. After graduating in 2011, he studied Psychology at LSU. After two years of LSU football games, developing great friendships, and being heavily involved at Christ the King Catholic Center, Fr. Andrew responded to God’s call and entered seminary. Six years later, he was ordained to the priesthood on June 1, 2019 at St. Louis Cathedral for the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Please pray for Fr. Andrew as he serves our parish as our parochial vicar!
